Humanity & Intelligence

Intelligence,
designed to grow
with humanity.

From the capabilities of AI to the possibilities of AGI and ASI. A deeper conversation about the future of intelligence — and our place within it.

The intelligence map

More than a question
of capability.

AI, AGI and ASI concern capabilities. IGI concerns how we choose to develop and govern them. Explore four concepts — and the different questions they ask.

Choose a concept to explore

A broad field

Systems that help us perceive, reason and create.

AI covers a wide range of methods and systems, from specialised tools to models that work across many tasks. The useful question is what a particular system can reliably do, under which conditions, and with what access to the world.

What can this system do reliably?
Boundaries & sources

Strength on one task does not establish broad intelligence or permission to act.

Generality across tasks

A question of breadth, adaptability and evidence.

AGI concerns broad competence across cognitive tasks rather than isolated success. Definitions, thresholds and evaluation methods differ. A meaningful assessment must explain the tasks, comparison group and conditions behind the claim.

How broadly do capabilities transfer?
Boundaries & sources

A single benchmark or impressive demonstration cannot settle every definition of AGI.

Definitions and assessment remain debated

Broadly superhuman capability

When capability could exceed the people overseeing it.

ASI describes the idea of broadly superhuman intelligence. It raises difficult questions about evaluation, control and who bears the consequences of deployment. Forecasts about its arrival and impact depend on assumptions that should remain visible.

What would credible oversight require?
Boundaries & sources

Superhuman performance in a narrow domain does not by itself demonstrate ASI.

The IGIQANT perspective

Intelligence that grows with humanity.

IGI is IGIQANT’s proposed design approach: connect increasing capability with shared purpose, governed memory, bounded autonomy, evaluation and accountability. The aim is a continuing relationship with people whose outcomes can be questioned, measured and improved.

How should intelligence grow with people?
Boundaries & sources

IGI is a proposal to develop and test, not an established stage beyond ASI or a demonstrated solution to alignment.

IGIQANT concept and proposed research programme

A discussion map, not a forecast or a fixed sequence. IGI is IGIQANT’s proposed design approach, relevant across capability levels. A validated IGI architecture and experimental results have not yet been presented.

02 / IGI Perspective

Growing intelligence.
Continuing responsibility.

IGI — Infinite Growing Intelligence proposes a continuing relationship between people and intelligent systems: shared purpose, governed memory, bounded autonomy and accountable development.

“Infinite” describes an open-ended ambition to learn. Progress must earn its place through evidence, useful outcomes and the ability to question a system’s decisions.

Explore our principles
Purpose stays human.

Who is this for? Who is affected? Who can challenge the goal?

Memory has boundaries.

Sources, consent, correction and retention belong in the design.

Authority is explicit.

More capability does not automatically mean more permission to act.

01 / The Debate

Take the warnings
seriously. Go deeper.

The fear of losing control deserves careful analysis. We examine strong arguments, competing positions and what the evidence can — and cannot — tell us.

03 / IGI Research

A vision becomes useful
when it can be tested.

Each research direction starts with a concrete question, a way to investigate it and a limit we should acknowledge. The programme is proposed; results will need to be earned.
